Those fun gals over at Double Trouble wanted all the trimmings following a tic, tac toe board. Here I have leaves in the bg stamped in black then the leaf boarder cut on Silhouette in white cs. Added grateful sentiment stamped in black and then heat set with clear on vellum. Added the extra leaf half round just cuz it was laying there.
The bg has more done to it than I can even remember. Started out with smooching of color burst then stamped leaves and then dry embossed but that did not do it for me so it sat for days. Added more with sponging and white gesso brayer on and splatters. Finally decided if I mostly covered it up it was usable.
Challenge I am sharing with

The background has a lot of interesting texture. The leafy border makes a nice frame for it.

Bonnie, you make me laugh. I’m glad you decided you could use it if you “covered it up”. It looks great and all the stuff on top just makes it even better. I bet there are a ton of ways you could have used that piece and wound up with other wonderful cards.

This is so pretty – the frame is awesome and I really like the vellum in the centre. Thanks for sharing with us at Double Trouble 🙂

Bonnie, you’re background is simply beautiful, selecting something from your stash you felt wasn’t quite completed and you didn’t give up on it but added to it. And then to cover it with the leaf frame and added touch of the leave swirl, WOW… georgeous. Thanks for sharing with us at Double Trouble and The Paper Funday Challenges.
