My brother and his husband are not into the flowers and considering that they have recently completed a huge home remodel project I went with this architect design. The image is dry embossed brown cs with a Sizzix/Tim Holtz folder. Not sure of the exact name because it is not on the folder and it is very old. At first I smeared gold acrylic paint going for a pounded metal look but that looked washed out. So plan B was to tap versa mark then add gold embossing powder that got heat set. Trimmed into two pieces that fit on the dry embossed frame in black cs. Heat set sentiment with gold and added gold braid trim.

Stunning! Love the embossing folder – have one similar and is called gears!

I saw one on the internet that said gears but it was not the same. Thanks anyway.

Thanks Judy, I once made soft-goods for interior designers and this is leftover trim from that previous profession.

Great metallic gold background for your card. Love that your separated the layers and added that gold trim.

Thanks Gayle. I am always curious why I see designers keep adding layers to accomplish this same look. I guess that is why my favorite book as a child was Curious George.

I hope they do. It did turn out good, but not what I was first going to layout.

This is a fantastic masculine card! I’m with everyone else on how great your pieces look with the gold on top and the embossing. That frame is such a nice touch of depth, too. Great work on this.

Thanks Golda, I love that ef to make a frame. Especially that it fits my new favorite size of 4x 5 3/4. Still fits in an ample size A2 envelope but a little elongated for layouts.
