Happy Birthday MIL

I love this plaid and I embellished it with ef and gold acrylic paint added with my finger then black splatter. The cupcake is from a children’s coloring book and water colored then added glitter here and there, fussy cut and layered on pp. Tag has the glitter on the edge and heat set black embossing powder. My Mother-in-law loves bling so this should fit her sweet tooth just right. Not as CAS as I was going for but works for me.

Tip; Use your colorburst to create intense water color pallet. I spent the afternoon yesterday creating the colors used here. I added colorburst powder with another brand in similar color that also has mica in it. So now my colors are very intense and have shimmer. The colors dry perfectly and rehydrate with a water soaked brush. I sprinkled the powder on a scrap of paper then poured that into the tray and added water with a pipette. This worked to keep the mess of loose powder to a minimum yet keep my colors from mixing. I know because I tried sprinkling the powder into the tray then spritzing with water. News flash, color every where.

Challenges I am entering

Allsorts: Cupcakes
