Amazing Sis

My sister is hosting a baby shower for our grand-niece so I wanted to leave her an appreciation card. I used versa mark with heat set wisteria embossing powder for trees on Text Vellum. My purple sky is shimmer spray then two shades of ink pad that were sponged on. Stars are black water paint splatters, white gel pen and white gold water color splatters. Hills are stencil and black ink sponged on. Sentiment is Silhouette cut and adhered to two white cs frames.

My sis lives in Wyoming where the winters are long and dark. This is right up her alley.

Tip: My new best friend in the craft room is the brayer. I use it on the back side of project when adhering with glue dots. They need the pressure to really stick and the brayer adds that in spades. It does especially good job when the piece is a little warped.

  1. This is a fantastic card and a very nice way to encourage your sister. I love all the purple shades and the look you got. Black stars are unusual, but quite beautiful! That’s a great idea for the brayer, too.

  2. Lovely card. I like the background and the frame. I haven’t used my brayer in ages. I’ll have to dig it out and put it to use. Thanks for the tip.
