Tone on Tone

What a fun challenge over at CAS Mix Up. The videos helped point me this direction. The image is on white Text Vellum and started with dark gray ink sponged on with edge taped off. Added the aspen trees with a stencil and white modeling paste that once dried I splattered with the reinker of the same dark gray. Then even sponged the whole scene more with the dark gray. Added white and black dots by hand with gel pens. Sentiments are Silhouette cut and adhered. All is mounted on white cs base.

It is interesting how the ink blended on the modeling paste to a low tone green.

Challenge I am entering

  1. I just love this!!! And I am always amazed when an ink blends/looks different on different surfaces. The green tones from the gray ink look amazing on the gray sponged background. So pretty!!
