Xyron and Gilding Flakes

I wondered what would happen if I put a cs piece that had been dry embossed through my Xyron machine then applied gilding flakes. Well here is the result. The cs is black and this is the peaks with sticky adhered then rubbed on gilding flakes. The dragon fly is throwaway backing from when I cut one out in sticker paper. Sentiments are Silhouette cut mounted on black with gold ribbon from stash.

The lower two are more ideas of adding flakes. On the right is runner dots then flakes and the bottom one is the valley side of embossing put through Xyron.

  1. Wow! So creative!! I was just cursing my xyron sticker maker as I end up with sticky junk all over my project when I use it (for adhering intricate die cuts), but you always get such beautiful results with it.

    1. I so hear you. That does happen but now I take the time to peel back only half of the backing at a time and stick my pocky tool in the nooks and crannies to remove the excess before I try placing it down.

  2. Throw a way backing, lol. And I though I had a scraps problem. It does make a beautiful addition though. I’m glad you didn’t throw it away. Thanks for joining my challenge at Make My Monday. Love Dawn x
