Using the last of the bg paper made with gel plate and acrylic paint I stamped in black the leaves then water colored them with gold paint. Stamped sentiment with black ink. then added black and white splatter/dots. Once matted on white cs base I added the rolled yellow roses and fussy cut leaves. The gold strips on the edges was an after thought because the image needed grounding.

I enjoy making these roses from Paper Vellum sprayed with shimmer spray. My new tools for creating them is a toothpick with the end split so that it holds the paper with a piece of tape added to keep the rolling even. I split the end of the wood with an X-acto knife. The other new toy is a cordless glue gun. Love this thing, no drips, no cord and really heats fast. More details of how I make these can be found HERE

Your roses are lovely and make a wonderful embellishment fall card. I have dies that pretty much cut the way you’ve cut them – I’ll have to try doing it with scissors – it would certainly be quicker. A cordless glue gun would be so helpful to have – where did you get it?

GORGEOUS! Love that background, and your roses are beautiful! I have several dies for making 3D flowers and rarely pull them out. Thanks for the inspiration!

I love the beautiful cards you create. I also love that a toothpick with a split end is what you consider a new tool. Your afterthought is a beautiful addition and that rolled rose is gorgeous! The way you think and create is amazing.
