Challenge Up Your Life: Autumn Mood

Krafty Chicks: Stamp Act

The idea for the CAS Mix Up was to use your dies to dry emboss. I did use the technique and embossing machine sandwich but the piece I used to emboss was Silhouette cut design from a single stamp that I layered. You can kind of see the embossing around the stamped leaves. BG is red and gold acrylic paint brayed on gel plate and paint picked up with white layering weight cs then black and gold splatter. Stamped my leaves with masking between stamping in black ink. Sentiment is stamped in black on copy paper and mat layered on scrap bg piece. Center of tag is popped up but the ends are adhered to card, giving it a kind of bow effect. Nice complement to the dry embossing of the leaves (which does really show up in real life).

  1. Love the effect you got with the paint on the gel plate; gorgeous! The stamping on the embossing looks great, too. Very clever to use the layered leaf die cut you created on the Silhouette to do your embossing. I am always amazed at all the cool techniques you use on your projects!

  7. Bonnie, this is beautiful! I love the embossing you did around the leaves and as I can see gold shimmer in the picture, I’m sure it is amazing IRL. You come up with wonderful ideas and are great at bringing them to life.
