Allsorts: Summer Fun
Double D: Sunflowers
Little Red Wagon: Use a Stencil
I always know it is the end of summer when the sunflowers begin to fade. This one I created from stamping black ink on Paper Vellum and then using water brush and pearlescent powders in yellow and orange to water color. Once fussy cut I added highlights with black gel pen, ink smooched on glass mat and water brush in brown, orange and red. Bg is Paper Vellum sprayed with shimmer spray in pink, purple and orange, then added white embossing paste through a stencil. Once dry I added a small amount of pearlescent powder in green and lightly spritzed with water and let that run. Splattered the flower and bg with black water color. Mounted on white cs for stability then attached to white cs base. Glued on flower and Silhouette cut sentiment and foliage.
Tip: For intense shine and color try the Prism Pearlescent Powders. I ordered in 12 colors and they are intense. I was thinking I would make up shimmer sprays but could not resist using the powder straight out of the pot on the tip of a water brush just to see what the product did. I still love my Perfect Pearls for softer tones but these powders will be fun on another level.
Wow!! Absolutely stunning!! Love it – a lot!!!

Bonnie, this is another gorgeous creation! I love how you curled the tips of the sunflower, so it has so much dimension, too. You inspire me to get into the craft room and play.

Hi Bonnie:
FABULOUS sunflower card. Very detailed. I saw it over Double D and came by for a closer look. I’d like to invite you to play along at Word Art Wednesday as well. Always Anything Goes/Family Friendly challenges, and awesome prizes from our generous sponsors. I do hope you’ll join us.
Also, I don’t know if you’re aware of this; but nobody sees the responses to their comments here on your blog. It’s a very nice thought, but we don’t see them (or get notification of them). I’d love to have you stop by my blog if you’d like to say hello sometime or become co-blog followers. Sounds so “formal”, huh? I really appreciate your efforts and I want them to have maximum impact because comments mean so much to us all, as you know.
Have a blessed week. I hope you’ll come by to play along with us. Your art really is a treat for the eyes. Happy crafting!!
Blessings,
Karen L
