Uncle’s Birthday

Challenges I am offering this entry

Just Add Ink: Mixed Media

Krafty Chicks: All Occasion

Little Red Wagon: Dots

My uncle is the kind of guy that will appreciate flowers and glitter on his birthday well wishing. I had stamped this large image and water colored then cut it in half. Added brown splatter spray and white splatter then rubbed edge with dark brown ink pad. The mat layer is dark brown cs with dry embossing then gold acrylic paint added with finger. Sentiment was cut on Silhouette in layering weight white cs then front side put through Xyron and fine gold glitter added to sticky. Glued this on and added sentiment strip that is popped up.

Meeting challenge guidelines: Hope I used enough stuff to qualify for mixed media and of course this is an occasion to celebrate a birthday. My dots appear on the embossing folder design and the foliage in the focal image.

  1. WOW! This is a great card design – perfect for a man or a woman. I love all the rich, warm colors and the gold glitter on the splattered panel. Love your stamp layout and how you colored it, your metallic looking background… I guess I love everything about this!!
