CAS Mix Up: Stencil Tracing
Little Red Wagon: Embossing
Simon Says Monday: Play with Paint
Never would have thought to trace my stencil, cool challenge introducing this technique. First I used the stencil to add texture paste for dimension. Once dry I placed the stencil down and sprayed blue shimmer spray. When that dried I used black pen to trace the stencil. Of course it was not perfect and the more I tried to clean it up the more it went wonky. So I embarrassed the multi-lines and created this. Added orange paint with smooching and rubbed edges with bright orange ink pad. Stamped sentiment in black ink then layered on blue cs and mounted on dry embossed copy paper mounted on white cs base. Thanks to my stamp buddy Lisa B. for the idea to dry emboss white on white. Sure keeps the card CAS but adds tons of interest.

Tip:
Embossing folder is one I made with cutting the image 2 times on my Silhouette in cs. Mounting outer image on one piece of layering weight cs and the inner image on another then create a tape hinge
Pretty card! I like adding embossing, when I remember. Love the butterfly.

Thanks Lisa K, I guess this is actually de-bossing.

Great CAS card design! Tracing around the stenciling is a really cool look. The multiple lines you created go nicely with your smooshed background. Love your embossed panel made with your homemade folder as well.

Thanks Golda, the focal does have a lot going on so the bg had to be simple.
