A Vintage Journey: Rustic Charm
I have a new toy: Gelli Plate. My first use was to spray shimmer sprays in yellow and purple, place a stencil on top then remove stencil and press Text Vellum into plate. Got this fun bg. The butterfly was stamped on tissue paper in black, trimmed close and glued down. Added some purple embossing powder heat set then placed brick stencil with embossing paste in white. Trimmed to size and rubbed edges with black ink pad. The swirls and sentiment are Silhouette cut and adhered. Thanks to stamp buddy Judy for a site that has seam tape ribbon. This yellow was wrapped around paint brush and left over night. To get to lay on card I used small glue dots strategically placed. Punched a few small butterflies in silver ribbon and called this one complete.
Beautiful! Love your bow. Glad you are having fun with your new toy.

Thanks Lisa, I have always loved seam tape, from my days of making clothes I guess. It just never came in so many colors 50 years ago.

What a fun background. I need to look into the gelli plate. Sounds like fun. Your butterfly is gorgeous. And that ribbon! Oh my. Wonderful bow. I don’t use a lot of ribbon, but Sharon’s Stamp Simply does have some yummy ribbons and trim.
