This started as piece of Text Vellum that I placed a circle stencil on then ink up in blue a plaid bg stamp and stamped through circles. Inked a number embossing folder and used it to stamp numbers.Added more circles through another circle stencil with transfer gel. I wanted the shine and transparency that this gel offered. Trimmed this bg piece down to fit on white cs base. Added thin white frames (leftover from some other playing around with Silhouette). The light-bulb was printed on tissue paper and glued on. The sentiments were cut on the Silhouette. The Dad was cut three times and stacked with the top layer inked in the same blue as the bg. The gear was cut on Silhouette and glued on then was too white so I put black ink on my pinkie and smeared some ink on it. Almost as an after thought, I added some yellow chalk to give light to the bulb. The dad sentiment as glossy accents.

Brilliant!!! Stamping with a plaid stamp through circle stencil is genius and great results. Love the shiny DAD and using up the leftover frames makes this quite the card. He will love it.

Thanks Johanna, I have not used the plaid stamp much so was pleased it stamped through stencil. Did use Misti and stamped twice.

So much going on here. The plaid stamped through the stencil is really a cool idea. The yellow in the light bulb gives it just the right glow. Your dad will love it.

I was afraid that the bulb was too large, but once added with the dots showing through, I was okay with it. Thanks for checking it out.

Bonnie, you always add so many fun details! I love that you added the yellow to the light. Those white frames are perfect to tame the wild and wonderful background, too. The black on the gear really gives it contrast, but not so much it takes over. This really is wonderful! What a fun way to use transfer gel, as well.
