Stamping Sensations: Say it with flowers
I stamped the outlines of these lilies in black on Text Vellum then stamped details in two shades of shimmer spray, orange and purple, by using spray tube to paint on the stamp. Added next two sets of stamp details in black ink then fussy cut. Stamped leaves in 3 shades of gray then fussy cut. Shaped around end of paint brush and curling with thumb. Mounted on bg that was sprayed with orange shimmer spray through dots stencil then dry embossed with leaf stencil. Sentiment was die cut on Silhouette in white cs and glued in place. All was mounted on white cs base.
Over the years of collecting stuff I probably would not have bought quite so many embossing folders if I would have know that I could get this kind of detail from dry embossing with stencils.

Love your lilies. Since you create so many stencils on your Silhouette, it makes sense to use them for many things. I still prefer embossing with folders, but it is fun to use those stencils for backgrounds by dry embossing.

That’s a great stamp set. I looked at it on Gina’s website. I didn’t realize it’s a layering set. I was thinking of getting some layering flowers which is better for me since I’m not that much of a color-er.

I have another one of these that is an Altnew. Maybe we could swap sets for a time. I would send you these two and you send me two of yours. There really are only so many times I use huge flowers then I am done for quite some time. It is like watching a movie or reading a book you have already been through once. Enough time goes by and it is new again.

It means so much that you can see those details and comment on them .

The lilies are absolutely stunning and they have so much dimension. You sure had better luck than I did embossing with your stencils.

Keep playing with your shims and sandwiches. It took me several tries to get something that worked. Spraying your paper with a light mist of water also helps it take the embossing.

This is another great one Bonnie! Enjoy those embossing folders, they generally give a deeper image and they’re fun.
