Orange shimmer spray

Make My Monday: Tone on Tone
The Die Cut Divas: Beverage only beverage is the water used to make the spray

Who does not like new toys. I was mixing up some orange shimmer spray and had to see how it worked. Plus, I had just purchase some Press n Seal and wanted to try my hand at using it to stack and place die cut words on card front. I must say with some practice this will be some very useful stuff. I cut all the words on my Silhouette on white cs. Used the plastic wrap to stack then place on white Text Vellum paper. Once glued down I sprayed the whole thing several times with the shimmer spray. Ran the front through Xyron to get it sticky backed then placed on white cs base.

Was differently the look I was going for and the intensity of the color is great. Wish the shimmer part photographed better. Please search my site for recipe of homemade shimmer spray, there are several place with helpful information on how I make these. To get this orange I combined two shades of reinker and several squirts of orange color burst.

  1. I bet the shimmer on this packs a punch. I thought it was an embossing folder too. I’m going to have a go at making some sprays of my own soon. I’m almost out of my gold one. Love the card – very clever.

  2. Love the card and the different fonts and sizes for your words. Super tone on tone and even better that you created your own orange shimmer. LOL…love your artistic license with the beverage. Orange Soda or Juice with a splash of vodka!!!

  3. Lots of layering and it turned out great. I do understand you used water to make the spray, but there is nothing on the card that I would see was beverage based, so I’m afraid the card doesn’t qualify, but I’m glad you joined us. Do come again.
