Spritz & Splatter

Simon Says Monday: Spritz & Splatter
Krafty Chicks:Stamp Act
Little Red Wagon: Flowers

Ok, so there is more going on here than Spritz & Splatter. This started as Text Vellum that got splatted on to the glass mat that had water colors spread around. The colors were next to each other but I tried not to mix them very much. Next I stamped in black the dragonfly and flowers. The flowers were stamped in orange up the sides. I used my shimmer spray in yellow to paint the wings. Rubbed the edges in black ink pad then added splatter in orange, white and black water colors then white gel pen accents. Smeared the whole surface with clear gesso. I am loving how this gives a matte finish and slight texture to the project. A few drops of enamel in white and black then clear glossy accents to the dragonfly body and Silhouette cut sentiment. The sentiment at the top was stamped and heat set in gold on tissue then glued on, because I was not sure how the gesso would like being heated. Used my finger to touch the area again with gesso so the whole surface had the same finish.

I have to admit this layout and design is CASE from Inkybliss. Please visit here site and see if you are not inspired as well.

  1. Wow…another amazing background and card. The depth of colors and layers as well as the stamped design just really showcase your dragonfly. Beautiful.

  2. I agree with Gayle – there is a lot of depth to this card and I really like the shine you achieved as well. It is absolutely beautiful with the softness of the pink and yellow against the bold blue.

    1. Wish I could take all the credit but the other Lisa created the layout and color scheme. I think if I had her stamps I would have made her exact card. Something in Northern Ireland must give her the talent.

  3. I bet this is SO beautiful in real life. Such a shame we can’t photograph reality, lol. I just have to imagine the beauty close up, as in your smaller photo. Lovely design.
God bless and keep you safe!
