CAS Watercolor: Night Sky
Even though I started with black cs I used a stencil and clear gesso to get the butterflies shiny. Then added watered down white gesso with dry brush to add texture and the sense of night time. Laid the stencil back down and stamped flowers with versa mark and heat set gold embossing powder to bring color and life to the butterflies. Added strip of stamped sentiment in black on white cs. Mounted on white cs base.
Quite beautiful and I like the simplicity of the look although the making of it was anything but.

Sky is hard but night brings a whole set of more difficulty. Not sure I nailed it but this one will do.

This is beautiful! The idea of stamping flowers on the butterflies for the embossing is fabulous.
