Simon Says Wednesday: Flower Power
Addicted to Stamps: Anything
It occurred to me that I had never tried my embossing paste with glitter and wanted to give it a go. I put the white paste through a leaf stencil and while the paste was wet, sprinkled on the fine glitter. Once dry the glitter was sticking pretty good but wanted to be sure it did not go anywhere I added a layer of clear gesso. Once that dried I gave the piece a spritz of water with pink color burst. The flowers and some of the die cut leaves were cut first then stamped. Stamped the sentiment and more greenery in black. Layered sentiment on white then black layers then on to a pink strip. Mounted on black cs then white cs base. Flower centers are black sequins with rhinestone centers added.
Very pretty! Great shine!!

Thanks so much Lisa, it is not the same as the glitter paste but the price is right and I kind of like the messiness of it.

Thanks Lisa, the shimmer spray is everywhere on this one. I sprayed the paper for the flowers and greenery with it before I die cut them.

Lovely and sparkly. I like the black sequins as centers for the pink flowers.

So glad you like that touch. Not sure where that idea came from but one can never go wrong with pink and black.

Love the pink and black and your sparkle. Splitcoaststampers has a tutorial on creating your own glitter paper using glossy or matte gel medium. Another WOW card.

The photo does not give the full shimmer effect the glitter gives. Thanks for taking the time to comment.
