Simon Says Monday: Create a Scene
I love this embossing folder and used it here on layering weight cs in white. Added shimmer spray to the top half in blue and the bottom half in green. Swiped across bike with black ink and sepia spray on whole thing. Added dots with stencil and embossing paste and more shimmer spray in blue and yellow then dry brush white paint. Added numbers embossing folder along right side then rubbed gold acrylic paint with my finger. Added colors to basket of flowers with copics. Hand cut strip of copy paper sponged green to bottom. Die cut vellum tag and glued on Silhouette cut sentiment then mounted to card front. Mat and layered on green dot pp and white cs base.
Tip: Never quit. There were so many times this was all but in the trash. But I kept adding another layer till it finally looked ok. Maybe a bit darker than I would have liked but not trash worthy.
I like the never quit tip. Your scene is lovely.

Never quit is a good tip – most things can be redeemed I find. This is definitely one of those kind of cards. Love it and don’t think it looks dark. It looks vintage aged to me.

I agree don’t quit is a good tip, but sometimes I have to put something aside for a couple of days before I salvage something. Great card. I really like the sentiment.

It is one that had way too much going on for most applications but somehow works this time. Thanks.
