I love to play with tissue paper and combined it with my homemade shimmer sprays. This one is Sap Green colorburst in half water and half alcohol with a dollop of white glue in spray bottle with BB’s for mixing, this is sprayed on glass mat and laid the tissue paper in the liquid. Lift and lay aside to dry. Glued tissue to layering weight white cs and once dry used edge of credit card to smear clear gesso over surface and allowed to dry. Stamped the poppies and butterfly in black then water colored. They were getting lost on the bg so stamped again with white acrylic painted on the stamp. Then the centers of the poppies were lost so stamped just the centers with black ink. Sentiments are Silhouette created and cut then glued in place. Focal piece is mounted on white cs base.
This one wins the price for getting the most times a single image got colored and stamped with different mediums. The one below was created in tandem but the bg got pink shimmer spray in splotches first, dried then green in splotches. Splotches are accomplished by only allowing small areas of the dry tissue to touch the liquid. Layering and stamping was the same as above. Sentiment is Silhouette created and cut. I was really bummed when the corner of the tissue tore but now I kind of like the white corner with the white sentiment.
As a young girl growing up in Wyoming and 4-H, I remember making life like tissue paper poppies for Veterans Day. So this is a fitting homage for me.

Both cards are great. You have way more patience than I do for stamping and then restamping as many times as necessary. Not sure I would do well with tissue paper either.

I’m with Johanna – I’m not sure I’d have the patience, but it always pays off for you. I really like the pink and green and didn’t realize the white corner was a tear.

Both cards came out great. You are so patient to keep restamping – lol! I am not sure what is happening, but I am no longer receiving email or wordpress notifications when you post. I was wondering why you were so “quiet” lately and popped over to see when your last post was. Shocked to see how much I missed. Hmmm….

I keep on looking at each one and just decided I really like both of them. Your soft background for the first card is beautiful then I see the dramatic background on the second card and WOW! very cool.
