Not a bleach bottle in my house (gave it up when I detoxed my home years ago) and really doubt I could buy one right now even if I wanted to. Loll challenged us to color with bleach, so I improvised and used water brush to bleach out the color burst on this strip of heat embossed dragon fly. Created the color strip by smooching my Text Vellum in purple color burst that had sat on the stamping block over night while I decided what to do with it. You see when I was coloring with color burst on the previous project I got way too much powder on the stamping block such that it dried out while I was trying to figure out what to use it for. When I sprayed it again with water the thin areas of color were quite liquid but the thick areas became like syrup giving my strip tons of color intensity. Layered the fussy cut strip on navy cs then on white cs base. Stamped and heat set the sentiment in black. The stamp set with the dragon fly is three stamp process, used the lightest stamping stamp to stamp in gold acrylic paint and while the paint was wet added gold glitter. I wanted to make sure there was enough shine on those wings hence the gold paint AND glitter.

Looks good! I love the variations in color. You are correct in the lack of bleach; I just checked Amazon. Glad you do not NEED it.

I too absolutely love this. I love everything about it. FYI – do you have peroxide at home? If so try using instead of bleach.Its safe to use, no fumes. Like you I never have bleach here but I keep peroxide for disinfecting. It does a good job without toxicity. I do have some oxi-clean and wonder if that would work? hmmm

I have had peroxide longer than I have been not using bleach. It does NOT work to take color out of crafting projects, tried that a long time ago. It does do a bang up job on all cleaning chores. I put some in my cleaner mix with water and call it Cleaner on steroids, it does that good.

I do the same as you do. Find it works great and costs a lot less than those store bought chemical cleaners. Good to know it doesn’t work for crafting but I thought it worth suggesting just in case.

Stunning! I think I do have some bleach in the garage – Used it on the large GK sun flower 2-3 years ago and made a great card. I now use peroxide for everything – better for me!

Try the text vellum to add your color. Water alone seems to remove color burst. I too had tried lemon juice and peroxide and neither worked on cs or water color paper.

Color Burst is not alcohol based. I activated mine with water, that is why it would remove with water but the real aid here was the Text Vellum. It is so porous that it took the color but then would release it.
