The Paper Players: Tic-Tac-Toe
Sweet Stampin: Make Your Background
For this bg I put the yellow colorburst with some water straight on the glass mat. Let that dry then dropped some blue color burst with spritz of water and let that dry. Then dropped clear gesso and used brayer to smooch the liquid over the colors. Put a white piece of copy paper over all and lifted. Once dry, I dry brushed silver acrylic paint one direction and white gesso the other. Used a selectively masked daffodil bg stamp that did not want to stamp very well so filled in some missing lines with black gel pen. Added some leftover hand made daffodils then mat & layered on gray then white cs base. Stamped sentiment in black and added hand tied ribbon bow.

Beautiful.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this!! Cool how you made your green background with the yellow and blue colorburst. Love the texture you added with the white and silver swipes as well.

I too love, love this for the same reasons as your friend LisaBabitz. It is really great and I like how you used the gel pad idea but did it on your glass mat instead. At least that is what I think you did.

That was exactly my idea. Wait till you see what I do to water color with color burst and alcohol.

Awesome background, Bonnie, I’m really loving the look you achieved and the distressed stamp image. Perfect for your hand made daffodils.

Wow! I love your gorgeous background. Did the clear gesso on your glass mat give you any clean up problems? Your 3D flowers are wonderful and stand out so beautifully against your background.

Not at all. Most all stuck to the paper and just a quick spritz of water and a napkin for wipe up. The gesso was still wet so that really helped.

Good to know. I have some gesso that I want to try playing with, but wondered about cleanup.
