Water Lilies

Challenge
Little Red Wagon: Aquarius the Water Bearer

The blue bg is white cs smooched with blue color burst. Layered in tissue paper with the lilies stamped in black and water colored in purple. Rubbed the edge of the black ink pad and white gel pen in streaks for ripples. Pink strip is cs with embossing folder in waves. Ivy is Silhouette cut in white cs then colored with pencils and water brush. Sentiment is Silhouette die cut and attached with glue. All was mounted on white cs base. My lilies were not popping so I added silver embossing with versa mark pen to the stamina. Not the right shine so I reheated the embossing and rubbed on gold foil, that worked great but still too stark. So the fix was to stamp them in black on vellum and fussy cut attached with glue and tucked under sentiment.

Don’t know if ivy grows in swamps or marshes where lilies do and don’t care. This one is done. One of the perks of living in the aired west.

  1. Artistic license allows ivy to grow anywhere the artist feels it should! Love your card, it has a very Asian feel to it. Thanks so much for playing along with us at Little Red Wagon Challenge!
