Using what is laying there

I had die cut these butterflies on this layering weight white cs for another project where I used Distress Resist Spray. Now this piece had no purpose in mind, so I sprayed with Distress Oxide in Walnut Stain, then smooched color burst in blue. With the blue left over on the glass mat, I mopped up with another piece of white cs. This became the color behind the butterfly aperture. I used a stencil and gold acrylic paint on both pieces to add texture and shine. Layered on some Silhouette cut pieces and stamped sentiment on tag and popped that up with fun foam. Roses are hand cut then colored with ink and sponge dauber then rolled. Added a few sequins.

  1. Smiling at Diana’s comment as I type this. I agree with her Wow! it is beautiful and I love how you did the background for the butterflies as well as the main panel. Those roses are awesome.

  5. I really like the blue for the butterflies and how it makes them pop and ties perfectly with the colors in your background. Very pretty card. Thank you for sharing with Double Trouble challenge #49.
