Global Design: Sketch
Inkspirational: One Layer
This really is one layer. It started out as a white base, label making paper was cut to rectangles that mask elements and snowflake is my stencil. With all the masking on; first sponged color is light gray on left and right. Next I pulled the masking from where I sponged a darker gray through a dot stencil. Removed stencil and sponged with light gray. Masked the focal image so the white frame was covered and stamped with water colors then ink over mask where sentiment is with pine cone bough. Removed all masking and stamped sentiment in black.
Very nice card! It looks layered with the masking.

Yep – a true artist!!! This is totally brilliant and amazing and all the other adjectives people use. Funnily enough yesterday I was thinking about one layer cards and wondering if I could make it look layered by masking. Great minds and all that. I may still try but don’t want to steal your thunder by doing it too soon.
