Double D: Silhouette
The background paper turned out what I had in mind when I smooched color burst activated with perfect pearls in water on cs white. But when I heat embossed the black leaves they were not as silhouetted as I had hoped. So I outlined them with a black sharpie. Next issue was when I dry embossed the gold paper and swiped it with black ink pad, it too was not very black. So again I added black sharpie. Once all was mounted the image layer needed some red so I off stamped one of the leaves in red.
Tip: Set the embossing powder from the back if your powder is not sticking very well. In this case the perfect pearls just did not play well with the Versa Mark when I stamped the leaves. So when it was time to stamp and heat set the sentiment, heating from the back really helped the powder stay in place till it melted. YEA!
It looks very nice! I like the embossed portion that you swiped.

Bonnie, this is beautiful! I love your idea to highlight with a black Sharpie. That was a perfect way to make them stand out.

The sharpie really made all the black super sharp. Great idea! I love the subtle red leaves on the background panel as well.

Love that sharpie and your card. The background piece is lovely. I tend to heat emboss from the front and back to help prevent the cardstock from curling, too. Good tip!
