Foiling without laser printer

Challenge
CAS Mix Up: Foiling

The top foiling is a Silhouette cutout of sticker paper. I removed the sticky covering and layered on some multi colored foil then ran that through laminator. Glued the foiled design onto layering weight cs that has dry embossing on lower half. I created the sentiment that was also Silhouette cut only on the layering weight white cs. I added transfer gel to the word then laminated that piece with more of the foil. Glued the sentiment on then layered all that on red cs then white cs base.

Tip: You don’t have to run the paper through the laminator with transfer gel but it does adhere better therefore it is a lot more shiny. Here is the word for you to use any way you like.

  1. Gorgeous and elegant card Bonnie! Love the multi-faceted foil that you’ve used for your holly. Really catches the light and gives different colours. Thanks for sharing with us at CAS Mix Up!

    1. Glad you noticed the faceted foil. Wish I would have read the challenge better and had added stamping. I did invest $5 to get a small mirror that holds itself up. Once I bounce the light on it to my card, the photo captures so much more sparkle and shine.

  3. Gorgeous colors and shines of the foils, Bonnie! Both the sticker paper and transfer gel foiling worked so well. The subtle dry embossing at the bottom is a really nice touch. Using a mirror to catch the shine of the foil is a great idea. I’d like to try it myself. Thanks so much for joining us at CAS Mix Up!
