Mask the Stencil

The Paper Players: Sketch
CASology: Shimmer

Used the new to me multi media paper for this technique. Masked the rectangle and taped down the stencil, then sprayed the resist. Once the stencil was removed and the paper dried, I wet the surface with water and added color burst in blue and green. The colored papers meets the sketch challenge and the sentiment and butterfly are Silhouette cut.

Inspiration in the hay field

Case this Sketch: #332

When I was irrigating the hay field the other day I saw the most interesting color combination in the red clover. The seed buds were this pinkish red and the greenery was lime and grass green. So the color strip is my interpretation of what I saw. It is color burst on glossy photo paper. The butterfly and boarder are Silhouette cut and the butterfly is painted with white gold and popped up with thin strip of plastic folded in half and double sided adhesive to attach. Sentiment is stamped in black.

Round two with the flower stamp

Twofer: Garden

I have not ever entered this challenge. The idea is to make two completely different cards incorporating some elements in each unique design. I used the flower stamp and dot boarder on both. The pink thank you is described in the previous post.

My Birthday version is all stamped in black. The pp is from a paper back and the sentiment strip is die cut.

My zinnias are blooming so they were my garden muse.

Mixed media

CAS Watercolor: Bouquet of Flowers

The idea was started with the white layer. I saw this type of die cut on a card and knew I had to recreate it on my Silhouette. Once cut out I stamped the flowers in pink a couple of times shifting slightly each time. The leaves are stamped in water color. Added some depth with water colors and sponged the gray circles with a stencil. Once mounted on pink layer, I dry embossed the whole thing. Then stamped the center in black and added sparkly elements in dark brown. sentiment cut on Silhouette and heart vellum is fussy cut. Mounted all on white cs base.

Sketch and Color challenges

Global Design: Sketch 198
Sunday Stampers: Vivid Visions

The sketch for Global Design was in landscape and I made mine in portrait but the colors are true to the Sunday Stampers challenge. The background is white cs with stencil on top then sprayed with resist. Sponged on the ink colors then added string and cut to fit white cs base. Added frame, tag and greenery all cut on Silhouette. Sequins were an order gift from Foiled Fox.
