The Double D challenge pays homage to the Kentucky Derby with photos of hats for inspiration. One of the pics had a blue that inspired this creation. I cut the butterflies with the Silhouette on layering weight cs. Colored some clear gesso with colorburst and spread on the paper. Once dry sprayed with shimmer mist then trimmed to fit under the die cut frame that is popped up. All was attached ot white cs base. Added the sentiment that was cut on the Silhouette.

This is so beautiful. That is a gorgeous blue. I am going to have to pick you brain about using the gesso. It’s been a while since I’ve used it.
