I had used this large circle dry embossed sheet to test the sandwich combo for my Cuttlebug. The homemade folder doesn’t get a very deep impression so I swiped Grass Green over the whole thing. While it was sitting on my work service I decided to make an Easter card with it. Last year I had created several cut files that worked perfectly. My bunny was cut, the eggs colored and popped back in with glossy accents added. Center strip is a new embossing folder with a Grass Green cs strip behind. The sentiment was cut on Silhouette in white then sponged in Grass Green and Jelly Bean Green. Adding glossy accents to only the letters and not the foliage was for effect.

Will enter the following challenges:
- Cute Card Thursday: Greens
- Addicted to CAS: Fluffy
- The Paper Players: Spring Fever
- Inksperationalchallenge: Use your stash
Tip: I was watching some videos for inspiration, while it was storming, and caught a suggestion that has turned into a game changer for me. Use the backing from transfer or label maker sheets to place your pieces that need glue dots on. The dots only stick to your paper pieces and not the slick backing. When I grabbed a sheet of label maker and ripped off the front to use the backing, I replaced the sticky side to the side of the backing I was not using. This gave it more rigidity and much easier to handle. The half sheet is now adhered to the corner of my glass mat and I use it daily.
What a great tip, as well as a wonderful way to use some “leftovers”!

I had watched so many that day I don’t recall who even offered it. And she did say someone else gave her the tip. So it is not original but out there enough, I don’t think it needs credit. I use my Silhouette so much that it really is impressive how much easier adding cutouts is.

Great Easter card, I love the bunny. Great tip. I use Stamps.com in my office and the backing from their labels would be perfect for this. I’ve been saving to use in my Cuttlebug when I have intricate dies, but I’ll certainly give this tip a try.

I bet you are right, that would work great on dies. I don’t have any so can not say for sure.

Cute bunny and a nice spring card. Great tip too. I use my label backing for spreading wet glue that may leak at the sides to save cleaning up my mat.
