Never would have thought to do this till the Splitcoasterstampers did Illusion with Embossing.

The Card Concept: Favorite for 2019
I started with white layering weight that was dry embossed with the daisy folder that was sponged with Ocean Mist then had the daffodils stamped in black all done on the side the daisy petals are depressed on. Once dry I trimmed down and splattered with black and white watercolor, then colored with Copics. The tag was stamped in black then colored and sponged. All was layered on Moonlite Fog with its edges sponged with Moonlite Fog then heat embossed in clear. Mounted on white cs base.
This next one is the same process, but sponged Kraft on folder then stamped daffodils in black and dry embossed. Then swiped entire sheet with Dark Sage ink pad. Layered on Dark Sage cs that was sponged through stencil with Dark Chocolate. Tag was stamped in black.

You did a great job! I have not done this exactly like this before and it is on my list. Thanks for the info on how you created this.

You are so welcome. The success really depends on the folder and stamp combo. I don’t have many of either that lent themselves to this. Sure fun to play, though.

Can not wait to see what you come up with. It is really fun to keep adding. One layer of color, another of stamp image. Color image, sponge on more color and heat emboss something. Rinse repeat. You get the picture.

Very unique cards and technique. I will need to give it a try soon. I do like using ink pads or brushes over dry embossed images. You are really challenging us with your beautiful cards! Hugs!

Oh so excited to see what your box of embossing folders holds. It does take some time but well worth any effort you put into it.

It is really fun to do but do really think about if the back image will get too lost from the front. The colors are so endless.

Gorgeous! I’ve done this technique before but only with stamped patterns or (reflected) words behind the embossing. I love how you colored your images. I’ll have to give that a try!
