One Embossing Folder & One Stencil

Saw this creation when surfing for inspiration. The challenge was to use die cuts but my mind went to an embossing folder I have. Once I had run the water color paper through the embossing folder, I fussy cut the whole thing. using Susan’s concept of cutting the daisies in half. The other half of the design is layering weight white cs with a stencil that got a thick coat of glossy white embossing paste, left to dry over night. This morning I used my blush brush to spread Turquoise Sea ink over the embossing. Cut a few half circles out of watercolor paper and coated with Elements for the stamina’s. The b&w strip was glued on top and the whole thing was layered on white cs. base. The tranquil scene lent itself to a sympathy card so I stamped that in black.

    1. Thanks so much for all your support. It was such an interesting idea, I could hardly wait to go see what I had that would work. Because I did not have a daisy die, I tried stamping a large one and cut in half, Not good. Then the embossing folder came to mind and I knew to use some very sturdy paper that could hold up to the cutting and gluing. Now what are you going to come up with?

    1. Thanks so much Golda, it was fun to take one idea and incorporate something different. Never would have thought about cutting a flower in half and layering on it self.
